What is Palliative Care?

Palliative care is patient and family centered care that improves quality of life by anticipating, preventing, and treating suffering. You receive an extra layer of support alongside your ongoing treatments such as chemotherapy, dialysis, surgery, or therapies. Our team listens first, explains options in plain language, and coordinates care with honesty and transparency so you always know what to expect.

Who Palliative Care Helps

Palliative care is appropriate for people living with a life limiting illness who want more stability and support at home or in a facility. Common conditions include:

  • Heart failure
  • Chronic lung disease such as COPD
  • Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease
  • Cancer
  • Liver or kidney failure
  • Other complex or serious illnesses

If your goals include comfort, symptom relief, and the ability to continue treatment, palliative care may be the right next step.
